A little messy, but so worth it, Honey Nut Brie is Joseph's favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas treat. The recipe is inspired by my mom who has been making it for years.
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 8 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries and/or golden raisins
- 1 wedge or small round or brie
- Preheat oven to 180F.
- In a small saucepan, heat up butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts, and dried fruits until thick sauce. Do not boil.
- Heat the brie on a serving platter until just warmed in the oven, do not allow to melt. Pour honey nut mixture over the brie and serve immediately with crackers.
